[HostGator] Fantastico Is No Match To In-house Script Installer

A lot of angry comments have been coming out after HostGator stopped offering the Fantastico script installer for free among its list of services.

HostGator answer was simple, they have another yet better option, the HostGator Script Installer, which will install scripts with one click, and based on HostGator's clients recommendations, that one does a very good job installing scripts, if not better than Fantastico!

[Fantastico] Not a Given Choice, Rather a Premium

HostGator recently stopped offering the Fantastico script installer for free, and started asking clients to purchase a license for it, if they wish to keep on using it. To clear things up, Fantastico issued a list detailing those hosting companies still offering it included in their list of features.

Heed those tips before you go with HostGator

- HostGator's domain registrations cost $15/year.
- Domain registrations are carried out via eNom and not HostGator themselves.
- Disk space is unlimited, but there is a maximum limit of 250,000 files on shared hosting.
- If you reach 10GB or 100,000 files, automatic backups stop.
- HostGator charges $15 fee to restore a backup they have on their server.
