- Poor PlanningCompanies often plunge into major migrations without reviewing existing environments (e.g., users, DLs, groups, public folders, etc.) as well as what needs to be moved (e.g., data stores, users, mailboxes) and what doesn’t (e.g., unused accounts, stale data, empty mailboxes). [HostGator] Fantastico Is No Match To In-house Script Installer
A lot of angry comments have been coming out after HostGator stopped offering the Fantastico script installer for free among its list of services.
HostGator answer was simple, they have another yet better option, the HostGator Script Installer, which will install scripts with one click, and based on HostGator's clients recommendations, that one does a very good job installing scripts, if not better than Fantastico!

[VPS] CloudLinux Best Choice To Manage Resources
So you bought a VPS server from say, HostGator, and you are wondering how to manage that server to start your reseller business, and start offering shared hosting.
The best way to achieve that is to rely on CloudLinux on your VPS. CloudLinux automatically divides the resources so each client can get specific resources. Later on, you can start charging extra money for additional sites hosted on your VPS.

[VPS] WHM/cPanel Consumes 512 MB Alone!
If you were going for a VPS package, and was considering using the WHM/cPanel script, beware that the VPS version of this script consumes 512 MB RAM easily, even when claimed it only consumes 300 MB.
If you were migrating from shared hosting to a VPS package, get a real 1.5 or 2 MB, else ditch the WHM/cPanel option. cPanel is going to just about max out any RAM less than 1.5 MB.
